What is it for
Profhilo is an aesthetic treatment designed to firm and recompact the oval of the face but without increasing volume. In fact, its special structure has the advantage of increasing the deep hydration of facial skin without increasing volume. From this point of view it is therefore a very complete anti-ageing treatment, which guarantees the maintenance of the tone and turgidity of the dermis, thanks to the progressive achievement of improved skin elasticity. Compared to other hyaluronic acid treatments, Profhilo is not a volumetric filler, but a bio-restructuring filler with more long-lasting results, because it is less susceptible to attack by hyaluronidase, the enzyme responsible for dissolving and dissolving hyaluronic acid. It gives excellent results on the face, particularly on the cheek area, but is also used on the neck and décolleté.
How it works
Profhilo uses a natural, long-acting hyaluronic acid based on stable hybrid complexes of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, a technology that allows for concentrations of hyaluronic acid that were unimaginable until now: 64 mg in 2 ml. Its formulation combines two different types of hyaluronic acid that act in a complementary manner: the low molecular weight hyaluronic acid stimulates fibroblasts, promoting the natural production of hyaluronic acid and improving skin quality, while the high molecular weight hyaluronic acid provides support and firmness to the tissues, helping to combat skin laxity.
Frequently Asked Questions
A minimum of two sessions, one month apart, are required. For longer-lasting results, a third session can also be repeated after a further month. Maintenance can then be carried out with one session every 3-4 months.
The high purity of the preparation and the absence of BDDE offer safe application and no side effects, as it consists exclusively of hyaluronic acid, a 100% biocompatible substance. The treatment cannot be applied if there is inflammation in the affected area, active herpes, during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The needle or cannula used for the injections are particularly thin and practically imperceptible. In some cases, on particularly sensitive subjects, we can apply a topical anaesthetic that eliminates any discomfort during treatment. The treatment is quick and leaves no visible marks.
From the first treatment, after about 4 weeks, the first results are already evident. After about 8 weeks, maximum effectiveness is usually reached, which is then maintained with the next, more spaced-out sessions.
