What is it for

Innovative biostimulation technique that is part of regenerative medicine, that branch of mendicine that exploits the self-healing capacities of our body, enhancing them in our favour. It is a treatment suitable for the entire face, particularly the lower part of it, but also very useful on the neck and décolleté. The effects of this particular biostimulation result in an unparalleled anti-ageing action in the treated areas. One of the most noticeable results of this procedure, right from the first session, is the visible improvement in skin tone, radiance and hydration. Unlike fillers, it is not a suitable treatment for eliminating wrinkles. In some cases, it is possible to act synergistically with both filler and PRP on the same face. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has also proved extremely useful in treating hair loss, especially in the early stages of androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata. Let us not forget the origins of this method, which found its first uses several years ago in the treatment of difficult wounds, skin ulcers, burns and scars. But it is always a good idea to seek advice from a dermatologist to identify which treatment is best suited to your case.

How it works

PRP (= platelet-rich plasma) is a treatment derived from our own blood, whose plasma is characterised by a high concentration of growth factors contained in small cells called platelets. Platelets are the cells that intervene in a wound to stop bleeding and stimulate its subsequent healing. This is why the platelet-rich portion of plasma is injected in the PRP treatment, precisely because of its powerful regenerative properties. To perform the treatment, a normal blood sample is taken and subjected to centrifugation in order to separate the plasma (transparent yellowish liquid) from the cells (thicker red part). After centrifugation, the contents of the vial will be divided into three layers, i.e. the cells at the bottom (red and white blood cells), the separating gel in the middle and the plasma and platelets at the top. Only this superficial part will be taken from the vial and injected as it is directly into the area to be treated.

For Him

A regenerative treatment that uses the patient's own plasma to stimulate skin repair processes. In male patients, it is recommended when they wish to improve skin quality, radiance and firmness in a particularly natural way, without the introduction of foreign chemicals. After blood is drawn and centrifuged, the concentrated plasma is injected throughout the face to stimulate the physiological mechanisms of regeneration. The result is gradual and without volumetric increases, leaving the skin looking more uniform and rested. The protocol is personalised and can be integrated into combined treatments.

Hair

Regenerative protocol that uses autologous growth factors to stimulate follicular activity. Recommended in cases of thinning and loss of density. Guarantees best results when combined with other hair therapies. In men, it is often chosen to combat thinning in a natural way, using components from our own blood. After collection and preparation, the plasma is reinjected into the scalp in targeted areas, using a protocol defined on the basis of a trichological assessment. The improvement is progressive and aims to support bulb vitality, shaft quality and perceived density. Integration with complementary therapies and proper home care helps to optimise and maintain results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Duration of treatment?

Between collection, production of the plasma and its subsequent application, the treatment takes about 30 minutes.

What to do before and after treatment?

No special preparations are required before treatment. After treatment, it is advisable to avoid particularly intense physical exertion for at least 48 hours. In addition, the use of anti-inflammatory drugs, both topical and oral, should be avoided.

How effective is it and after how many sessions do you get results?

In most cases, excellent results can already be achieved from the first application, the effects being visible between 4 and 8 weeks later. On average, we recommend repeating every three months or so to maximise the benefits and maintain the results.

Contraindications or side effects?

Since the treatment is completely natural and based on the use of an autologous substance (i.e. belonging to the subject's own organism), there are no contraindications and no side effects or possibility of allergic reactions. However, it cannot be used during pregnancy or in patients suffering from or recovering from a tumour disease.

Does it really work for hair regrowth too?

Very recent studies have shown that it is possible to achieve increases of up to 30% in both hair count (i.e. hair that was thought to be lost regaining its growth) and density per square centimetre. In addition, the efficacy of the treatment produces statistically significant results on around 80% of patients. Our direct experience confirms these data.
