What is the difference between medical and aesthetic radiofrequency?

Radiofrequency is a non-invasive treatment that uses the action of electromagnetic waves to combat different types of imperfections, such as limiting the signs of ageing by reducing the loss of skin elasticity and firmness.

Its main function is to stimulate the production of collagen, thereby promoting skin rejuvenation.
There are different types of radiofrequency, such as monopolar, which acts deeper, or multi-polar, which acts more superficially.
Radio frequencies are divided into two main categories: aesthetic radio frequencies and medical radio frequencies.
The second category is the one our centre deals with. It is important to say, in fact, that there are regulations that establish which centres can use machines with a higher power, i.e. medical practices.

What is the difference between these more powerful machines and the aesthetic ones?

The results are more visible and the time to achieve them is shorter, but the way in which these radiofrequencies are used is also very important. Each centre uses different methods, we for example have for years been using the synergy of two radiofrequencies (one monopolar and one multi-polar) combined in the same session to intensify the effectiveness of the treatment.

If you are interested in the treatment, you can find more information on the website, under the heading Renew&Glow Protocol, or you can contact our Lugano studio directly.
